Flonase
Directions:
Follow the directions for
using Flonase provided by your doctor. Flonase may
come with an instruction leaflet. Ask your doctor,
nurse, or pharmacist any questions that you may
have. SHAKE GENTLY before using a

Flonase for the full course of treatment even if
you feel better. Do not miss any Flonase

Before
using:
INFORM YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST of
all prescription and over-the-counter medicine that you
are taking with Flonase. Inform your doctor of any other
medical conditions, allergies, pregnancy, or
breast-feeding.
Store
Flonase at room temperature,
away from heat and light. IF YOU MISS A DOSE ,
use Flonase as soon as possible. If it is almost time
for your next Flonase dose, skip the missed Flonase dose
and go back to your regular dosing schedule.
Cautions:
DO NOT EXCEED THE RECOMMENDED
THE MEDICATION DOSE OR USE Flonase FOR LONGER THAN PRESCRIBED without
checking with your doctor. Your symptoms should improve
within a few days, however it may take up to 3 weeks for
Flonase to reach its full effect. DO NOT USE Flonase for
future nasal problems without checking with your doctor.
AVOID GETTING THE MEDICATION IN YOUR EYES. IF YOU HAVE NOT HAD
CHICKENPOX OR MEASLES, avoid contact with anyone who has
any of these diseases. Flonase MAY AFFECT GROWTH RATE in
children. Your child's growth should be checked
regularly while using Flonase. FOR WOMEN: IF YOU PLAN ON
BECOMING PREGNANT, discuss with your doctor the benefits
and risks of using Flonase during pregnancy. IT IS
UNKNOWN IF Flonase IS EXCRETED in breast milk. IF YOU
ARE OR WILL BE BREAST-FEEDING while you are using
Flonase, check with your doctor or pharmacist to discuss
the risks of Flonase to your baby.
Possible side
effects:
Flonase SIDE EFFECTS, that may go
away during treatment, include sneezing, stuffy nose, or
an unpleasant taste or smell. If side effects
continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor.
CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you
experience nosebleeds or nose or throat pain. IF YOU
EXPERIENCE difficulty breathing; tightness of chest;
swelling of eyelids, face, or lips, or if you develop a
rash or hives, tell your doctor immediately. Do not take
any more doses of Flonase unless your doctor
tells you to do so. If you notice other effects not
listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
Drug
interactions: Flonase Drug interactions can
result in unwanted side effects or prevent
the medication from doing its job.
If you overdose:
If
Flonase overdose is suspected, contact your local poison
control center or emergency room immediately.
Additional
information:
If
your symptoms have not improved with regular use of
Flonase, contact your doctor. ALWAYS HAVE A SPARE
Flonase INHALER available in case the unit
malfunctions or is empty. DO NOT SHARE the medication with
others for whom it was not prescribed. DO NOT USE
the medication for other health conditions. KEEP Flonase out of
the reach of children.
